1 · Scope
These Terms of Use govern access to and use of aidiscovery.com.au (the website) and the editorial outputs published by AI Discovery (the institution), including The Standard, The Index, Certified, The Annual, The Charter, and the Field Notes anchor library. Engagement services — the Audit, ongoing engagements, and the Score Engine Institutional Licence — are governed by the Master Engagement Letter and its schedules, which apply in addition to these terms.
By accessing the website, you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not access the website.
2 · Acceptable use
You may access the website for lawful, personal, and professional purposes. You may not:
- Use the website in any manner that could damage, disable, or impair its operation or interfere with another user's access.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any portion of the website, the Score Engine, or any related systems.
- Use automated means (scrapers, bots, crawlers, scrapers) to access the website in ways that exceed reasonable use, except for compliant search-engine and AI-system crawlers in accordance with our llms.txt and robots.txt directives.
- Reproduce, mirror, or republish the institution's editorial outputs in a manner inconsistent with the licensing in clause 4.
- Misrepresent your affiliation with the institution, including using the institution's name, marks, or claimed credentials without authorisation.
3 · Intellectual property
All content on the website — text, graphics, images, structured data, software, methodology, and the AI Discovery™, AI Discovery Score™, AI Discovery Audit™, AI Discovery Score Engine™, AI Authority Infrastructure™, AI Citation Engine™, Local AI Discovery™, ADP™, ADS™, ADF™, and related marks — is the intellectual property of AI Discovery Pty Ltd or its licensors and is protected under Australian and international copyright, trademark, and database rights.
You may quote short passages from the editorial outputs with attribution to AI Discovery and a link to the source page, in accordance with fair-dealing principles. You may not reproduce substantial portions, frame the website, scrape the Score Engine, or republish the Source Register without written permission.
4 · Editorial outputs
The State of AI Discovery, the Field Notes anchor library, and other editorial outputs are published privately by the institution. Each carries an explicit edition and review date. Where the institution amends a published position, the prior position is recorded and the amendment dated; the institution does not silently revise.
Editorial outputs may not be sponsored, paid for, or influenced by the subject of the output. Conflicts of interest are recorded in the Conflicts Register and disclosed under the institution's Charter.
The institution's Charter — the constitutional document governing editorial independence, methodology integrity, and conduct — is published in full and forms part of these terms by reference.
5 · Engagements
Engagement services are governed by the Master Engagement Letter, which is signed before any engagement commences. Pricing published on the website is the institution's standard pricing; engagement-specific pricing, scope, schedule, and intellectual property arrangements are set in the Master Engagement Letter and its schedules.
The Score Engine Institutional Licence is governed by the Score Engine Licence Agreement, executed at the commencement of the licence term and reviewed annually.
6 · Disclaimers
The website and editorial outputs are provided on an "as is" basis. The institution endeavours to ensure accuracy and methodological soundness, and corrects errors openly when identified. The institution does not warrant that the website will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for any specific purpose beyond its stated editorial scope.
The Field Notes anchor library, The Standard, The Index methodology, The Annual, and other editorial outputs are general guidance, not engagement-specific advice. Subjects acting on the institution's editorial outputs without engagement support do so at their own discretion.
Nothing on the website constitutes legal, financial, tax, medical, or other professional advice. Where the website discusses regulated industries (health, financial advice, legal services, real estate), the discussion is editorial and is not a substitute for professional advice from a qualified practitioner.
7 · Liability
To the extent permitted by law, the institution excludes liability for indirect, consequential, or special losses arising from access to or use of the website. The institution's total aggregate liability arising from access to or use of the website (excluding liability under the Master Engagement Letter, which is governed separately) is limited to the amount paid by the user in the twelve months preceding the claim, or A$100, whichever is greater.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable law.
8 · Third-party content
The website may link to third-party websites, sources, or systems (including the AI systems the institution analyses). The institution is not responsible for the content of third-party sites and the linking does not constitute endorsement. Subjects, sources, and AI systems referenced in editorial outputs are referenced for editorial purposes only.
9 · Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales, save where a regulator or other lawful authority has primary jurisdiction.
