The institution's position

The institution comments on the field, on its methodology, and on aggregate findings. It does not comment on individual subjects, individual practitioners, or live regulatory matters. The boundary preserves the editorial independence the Charter requires.

What we comment on

Five things, freely commented on.

The institution welcomes press enquiries on the following.

Topic 01

AI discovery as a field

The discipline, its history, its evolution, and the trajectory of the underlying AI systems. The institution holds positions and is willing to defend them in print.

Topic 02

Methodology and the Index

How the AI Discovery Score is computed, what the eight signals measure, how the Source Register is governed. The methodology is published; the institution will explain it.

Topic 03

Aggregate findings from the Annual

Findings published in the State of AI Discovery — verticals, signals, year-over-year movement. The Annual is the institution's record of record.

Topic 04

Verticals at the segment level

How AI Discovery is changing legal, accounting, medical, real estate, financial advice, trades. Segment-level commentary is part of the institution's public role.

Topic 05

Profession and conduct

How a profession is built; how credentialing works; how conduct is adjudicated. The Charter is on the record; the institution will discuss it.

What we decline to comment on

Four boundaries the institution holds.

  1. Individual subjects. Where a subject is named in press enquiry, we do not comment on their AI Discovery Score, their engagement scope, their findings, or their commercial position.
  2. Individual practitioners. Practitioners' standing is recorded in the Public Registry once that opens; outside the Registry, individual practitioners are not commented on.
  3. Live regulatory matters. Where the institution is in correspondence with a regulator, or a Standards Committee matter is pending, we decline comment until the matter is resolved.
  4. Competitive positioning. The institution does not comment on other vendors or providers in the market. Our position is the work we publish, not the comparisons we draw.
